If you have Android, you already know that there are many tricks you can do with your smartphone that can make it easier to use. However, there may be some hidden ones that you’re unaware of, and we’ve got 5 great tips for you to get started with your Android right away.

1. One-handed typing

If you’re not already using GBoard, you should really consider it because it’s a great way to get the most out of your Android keyboard. The board allows you to use one-handed mode, which makes it much easier to reach everything on your keyboard, especially if you only have one free hand to type. To enable one-handed typing on your Gboard keyboard:

  • Open Gboard
  • tap on 3 vertical dots Just above the keyboard

  • Click on carrot To choose which side you want your keyboard on depending on whether you are right or left handed

2. Search easily through your phone

Androids have a quick and easy way for you to find anything like settings options, contacts, messages and more. Here’s how to access it.

  • Swipe on you home screen
  • You will see a search bar at the top where you can type anything you want to search for

If you prefer to search through your files, you can use the search feature on your Android gallery. You can search for words like a specific month or type of pet, or you can install Google Photos to your photos and search for more specific words.

4. Set routines

Setting up routines on your Android will help you keep track of everything you’re doing in your life. You can set actions to occur based on time, location, WiFi connection and more. Here’s how to set one up.

  • open up settings application
  • choose Modes and routines
  • faucet routines at the bottom
  • tap on + icon over the top
  • tap on If tab And choose a time for your routine

5. Use Google Drive to scan documents

If you don’t have a scanner at home, that’s no problem as long as you have Google Drive. You can easily scan documents with the Google Drive app

  • Open the Google Drive app
  • tap on + icon
